PDF to Word converter
Turn a PDF into an editable Word document with paragraphs, headings and pictures. The conversion runs on your device, so confidential documents stay private.
When you need it
PDFs made from Word, Google Docs or other editors contain real text, which can be turned back into editable paragraphs.
Scanned PDFs hold pictures of pages; they need OCR before their text can be edited.
How it works
- We read the text and its position on each page, join lines into paragraphs and spot headings by their font size.
- Pictures are placed between the paragraphs where they appear on the page.
- The .docx opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages.
Questions
Will it look exactly like the PDF?
Simple documents come out close. Complex layouts are approximated: multi-column pages, tables and text boxes become plain paragraphs (table cells are separated by tabs), and fonts fall back to a standard font.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Not yet. A scan is a picture of a page with no text inside; reading it needs OCR, which this tool doesn’t do.
