Video meme generator
Put classic top and bottom text or a white caption bar above a video, GIF or picture. Reframe to 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 with blur padding, trim, and export MP4 or PNG.
How it works
- Your clip is decoded by the browser’s own video decoder (WebCodecs), frame by frame, on this device.
- Each frame is drawn onto a canvas with your text, in the same layout you see in the preview, then encoded again on your GPU.
- Original audio is copied without re-encoding when the output is MP4; pictures are exported as PNG.
Questions
What font is the classic meme text?
Anton, a bold condensed face under the SIL Open Font License that looks like Impact. If your text uses a script Anton lacks, such as Cyrillic or Japanese, your system font is used for those letters.
Can I use a GIF?
Yes. Animated GIFs are turned into an MP4 video with your captions, which is what most apps want anyway. GIF output isn’t supported.
Why is my file a WebM?
Some browsers (for example Chromium builds without H.264) can only encode VP9. WebM plays in browsers, VLC and most apps; Chrome, Edge and Safari produce MP4.
Is there a watermark?
No. The only text on your video is the text you type.
